goodreads.com

if you like books and/or read books, you? should go set up a profile at goodreads.com and then? you should add me to your friends list (if you can't tell, the word ME is a link. click it).

dave is the one who introduced me to it---like a myspace for bookfolks. just reading through people's book lists and finding old favorites or 'must reads' has been ridiculously entertaining to me, but then again, i'm rather socially-challenged like that.

go. join. add.

I'm so loving this site. And I was telling my girlfriend (she's on goodreads, too) last night about some of my RTVW friends on there and you in particular. She flat out LOVES that you ranked "Romeo and Juliet" so low. I can only imagine what it must be like to teach the same text year after year. And she totally empathized and laughed and was cheering you on.

    i've taught romeo and juliet:

    1995 2x
    1996 2x
    1997 2x
    1998 2x
    1999 2x
    2004 2x
    2005 2x
    2006 2x

witnessed bad stage interpretations of romeo x2

viewed the 'old' movie in piecs or whole: 16ish?

viewed the 'new' movie in pieces or whole: literally countless. they acutally ask to watch it on exam days, in homeroom, etc. i guess that's one 'good' thing from this.

attempted to tie in 'westside story' and make it 'meaningful': once. never, ever again. i mean that. *shudder*

yeah....i guess you could say i'm pretty much over that damn play.
